State Bank Of India (SBI) is the largest bank of India with 23% of the market share in assets.

 

SBI is an Indian multinational, public sector banking and financial services statutory body, headquartered in Mumbai.

 

The Bank of Madras merged with, the Bank of Calcutta and the Bank of Bombay to form Imperial Bank of India, which in turn became State Bank of India in 1955.

 

The Government Bank of India took the control of the Imperial Bank of India in 1955, with the Reserve Bank of India taking 60% stake, and renaming it to State Bank of India.

SBI Clerk is a post in the State Bank Of India, also known as Junior Associate. This exam is conducted on a national level annually and lakhs of candidates appear for this exam.

Eligibility Criteria

 

SBI CLERK

 

 

1. Nationality 

  1. The candidate must fulfill any one of the following :
  2. Candidates must be a citizen of India
  3. Candidates  must be a citizen of India
  4. Must be a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan.
  5. Candidates should be Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, for settling permanently in India.
  6. Candidates should be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Myanmar, Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania, Vietnam, Zaire with the motive to settle permanently in India.

 

2. Age Limit 

The age limit of the candidate must be a minimum of 21 years and must not be more than 28 years.

1.Educational Qualification of Deputy Manager (Law)

Deputy Manager (Law) Degree in Law (3 or 5 years) from a recognized University Law Officer in the legal department of Scheduled Commercial Bank OR
4 years combined experience as a practicing advocate and law officer in the legal department of a Scheduled commercial bank
Enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council and have 4 years of experience as a practicing advocate.

2. Educational Qualification of Senior Special Executive (Data Analyst) and Senior Executive (Statistics)

Post Qualification Experience
Senior Special Executive (Data Analyst) Full-time Postgraduate in Statistics/Math’s/Economics with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized Institute/University

Additional qualification of MBA/PGDBM/B-Tech will be advantageous

Min 6 years of experience in BANK/PSU/Corporate in the field of data handling/ data analysis/data interpretation using advanced statistical & analytical tools viz SPSS, SAS, STATA
Programming language viz R/Python
Experience in data analysis will be preferred
Senior Executive (Statistics)

 

 

 

Full-time Postgraduate in Statistics/Math’s/Economics with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized Institute/University

Additional qualification of MBA/PGDBM/B-Tech will be advantageous

Min 4 years of experience in BANK/PSU/Corporate in the field of data handling/ data analysis/data interpretation using advanced statistical & analytical tools viz SPSS, SAS, STATA

3.Educational Qualification of Defence Banking Advisor (Navy & Air Force) & Circle Defence Banking Advisor :

Post Qualification
Defence Banking Advisor (Navy & Air Force) Retired in the rank of Air Vice-Marshal or above ( For Air Force)

 

Retired in the rank of Rear Admiral or above ( For Navy Force)

 

Circle Defence Banking Advisor Retired in the rank of Major General or Brigadier.

 

4.Educational Qualification of HR Specialist (Recruitment), Manager (Data Scientist), Deputy Manager (Data Scientist), Deputy Manager (System Officer)

HR Specialist (Recruitment) MBA/PGDM or its equivalent with specialization in HR Minimum 7 years of full-time post-qualification experience
Manager (Data Scientist) B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Data Science/Machine Learning & AI/ with a minimum of 60% marks Minimum 5 years of full-time post-qualification experience in a related field
Preference is given to the candidate having MBA/PGDM with specialization in Finance and any other certification in ML & AI/ Natural Language Processing, Web Crawling, and Neutral Networks. Preference is given to candidates having experience in Financial Sector/Bank/ NBFC/Insurance/Investment firms.
