AILET Exam is an All India Law Entrance Test for providing admission to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and Doctorate (Ph.D.) level law courses.
For admissions at NLU Delhi, this university-level exam is mandatory as the university does not accept any other law entrance exam for admission. NLUD offers five-year undergraduate B.A.LL.B(Hons.) The program, one-year LL.M Program, and Ph.D.

Note: Foreign Nationals do not have to appear for the examination. Direct admission provision for foreign nationals considering the fact they follow the minimum eligibility criteria.
There is no age bar to appear for B.A.LL.B, LL.M, and Ph.D. courses.
Educational Qualification :
|UG||Candidate must have passed Class 12th or SSC examination or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized board or its equivalent.|
|Appearing and result in an awaited candidate can also apply for the examination.|
|Candidate must have LL.B degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University or its equivalent (50% for SC/ST)|

|The candidate who have completed their law degree along with a master’s degree in MPhil in Social Sciences/Humanities from any recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks. This candidate has to ensure that the research work they have conducted is relevant to any discipline of law and with special focus o topics like Public Policy of Law can apply.|
|Candidates having a degree in law and a Ph.D. in any discipline can apply|
|Candidates who have worked as a State High Court Judge in India for at least 3 years or Judge at Supreme Court of India.|
