AILET Exam is an All India Law Entrance Test for providing admission to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and Doctorate (Ph.D.) level law courses.

Eligibility Criteria 

Nationality :

  • Indian citizens can apply for AILET Exam.

Note: Foreign Nationals do not have to appear for the examination. Direct admission provision for foreign nationals considering the fact they follow the minimum eligibility criteria.

 

Age :

There is no age bar to appear for  B.A.LL.B, LL.M, and Ph.D. courses.

 

Educational Qualification :

UG Candidate must have passed Class 12th or SSC examination or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized board or its equivalent.
Appearing and result in an awaited candidate can also apply for the examination.

Candidate must have LL.B degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University or its equivalent (50% for SC/ST)
Appearing and result awaited candidates can also apply for the examination.
Candidate must have LL.M degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University or its equivalent (50% for SC/ST)
The candidate who have completed their law degree along with a master’s degree in MPhil in Social Sciences/Humanities from any recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks. This candidate has to ensure that the research work they have conducted is relevant to any discipline of law and with special focus o topics like Public Policy of Law can apply.
Candidates having a degree in law and a Ph.D. in any discipline can apply
Candidates who have worked as a State High Court Judge in India for at least 3 years or Judge at Supreme Court of India.
