Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is a government organization in India. In 1985 it was renamed as Railway Recruitment Board, initially, it was known as Railway Service Commission (RSC). Indian Railway is the biggest recruiter in the country.
The candidate recruitment is done in railways by the Railway Recruitment Board and Railway Recruitment Cell (RRCs). Railway Recruitment Boards are responsible for recruitment of all the Group C (Technical & Non-Technical) posts and Group D posts.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality
The candidate must be a citizen of India to be eligible for RRB Group D, the candidate must be either of the following :
- Candidates must be a citizen of India
- Candidates must be a citizen of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan.
- Candidates must be Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, for settling permanently in India.
- Candidates must a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Myanmar, Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania, Vietnam, Zaire with the motive to settle permanently in India.
2. Age Limit
The Group D Age limit is minimum is 18 years and the maximum is 33 years.

3. Educational Qualification

Group D EXAM: Stage 2 -Physical Endurance Test (PET).
Physical Endurance Test (PET) is conducted to assess the candidates physical fitness on the basis of heights parameters and the candidate has to go through PET(race) which is followed by a biometric and technology-aided identification test.
Group D EXAM: Stage 3 – Document Verification
After the candidate has cleared the CBE and PET, they are called for document verifications.
Group D EXAM: Stage 4 – Medical Examination
The shortlisted candidate who qualifies for the CBE, PET, and has gone through the document verifications process is called for a detailed medical examination and is examined medically by the Medical Boards constituted by the CAPFs to check their physical and medical fitness.
RRB ALP
RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) exam: ALP and Technician exam is conducted by the board to recruit Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician for different railway zones of the country.

Document Verification and Medical Examination (DV & ME): Based on the performance of the candidate in CBT-1 and also on the performance of both the CBT-2 & CABT (as applicable) the candidates are called for this process of document verification.

NTPC EXAM: Stage 3:
This is a Computer Based Aptitude Test ( CBAT). This is applicable only for candidates who have applied for Traffic Assistant and Station Master. They have to qualify the following points :
- Qualifying Marks: Minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify.
- No relaxation in the minimum T-Score is allowed.
- The question paper for the CBAT is in Hindi and English.
- There is no negative marking in CBAT.
- Merit lists are declared amongst the candidate who qualifies in CBAT, with 70% weightage of marks in CBT Exam-2 and 30% weightage of marks in CBAT.
Typing Skill Test (TST) :
- This test is qualifying in nature
- The candidate should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English and 25 words per minute (WPM) in Hindi.
NTPC EXAM: Stage 4
