MAT Exam is commonly referred to as the Management Aptitude Test a national standard aptitude test conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to MBA/PGDM programs.
It has been approved by the Ministry of HRD, Govt of India in 2003 as a national level exam.

MAT Exam: Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:
Indian citizens, as well as Foreign Nationals, can also apply for MAT Exam.
Age limit:
The candidate should be 21 years of age and there is no age limit for appearing XAT exam.
Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or equivalent with a minimum of 50% or equivalent CGPA (45 % or equivalent CGPA for SC, ST, PWD/DA category) aggregate mark.
- Candidates who have completed a professional course like CA/CS/ICWA with a minimum percentage are also eligible to appear for the exam.
- Appearing and result awaited candidates are also eligible to appear for the exam.
Number of Attempts:
There is no limit on the number of attempts for taking the exam
Note: AIMA conducts exams in various cities in India and at two foreign locations namely Dubai and Singapore.
